Chicago Area Casinos?

Anyone here familiar with casinos in the Chicago area? We will be heading out to visit my brother for a long weekend and I thought that it might be neat to check out gaming somewhere else. Might help tide me over until my Vegas trip 30 days later!

Any advise? Worth renting a car for the day? Are there any shuttles from donwtown? Or will the "El" get us there? Any comments would be much appreciated!

Fishing in Biloxi/Gulfport

and a leg in Biloxi or Gulfport?

I don't want to charter a boat or anything
that costs hundreds of dollars. Just a boat

Last night we went to the grand opening of the VooDoo Lounge at Harrah's St Louis, featuring Big Bad VooDoo Daddy, a swing band of national note. We were comped to balcony seating in the new Diamond room, which overlooks the night club. Tonight we are also invited to the Jimmy Hopper concert. We are going BACK on the casino cruise tonight after a fun, profitable trip last month. I did well at the BJ table, but still wondered if it "matters" that as soon as the dealer clears the table of the hand- all cards just played go directly back into the automatic shuffler? I recall in vegas that they would "cut" the shoe, stack the discards and then shuffle and "re-cut."

Left Fort Wayne about 2:50 am Sunday, arrived at Argosy about 6:30. New slot club members do not get their first admission fee. Since this was Sunday, it was $5 per person. We spent last week in Biloxi, MS at the Imperial Palace and had a wonderful time on the gulf. Didn't gamble a lot, but came out a little ahead on slots (Texas Tea and Neon Nights especially) and not too far behind on roulette. IP had quarter roulette at least one day during the week so that was fun. Any of you who go to The Silver Star Casino, the Golden Moon Casino, or the Hard Rock Beach Club know that they are at Pearl River Resort in central Mississippi. They announced yesterday that they are laying off
almost 100 of their table games dealers because they are taking out about 50 tables and replacing them with slot machines. After this, Silver Star will only have about 49 tables and Golden Moon will have 40.
