In light of the recent deteriorating conditions of Las Vegas blackjack, particularly in single-deck with the introduction of the 6-5 payout, I was curious as to what the current conditions of blackjack are in Reno. I remember for a long time there were plenty of single-deckers with restrictive doubling (10 or 11 only) rules.....is it still that way, or has 6-5 infiltrated that town as well? Thanks in advance!

We were comped to balcony seating in the new Diamond room, which overlooks the night club. Tonight we are also invited to the Jimmy Hopper concert. I understand we will be seated in the night club itself, not in the Diamond room or Diamond balcony. I'll post my thoughts about all of this later, after the Jimmy Hopper show.
We are going BACK on the casino cruise tonight after a fun, profitable trip last month. I did well at the BJ table, but still wondered if it "matters" that as soon as the dealer clears the table of the hand- all cards just played go directly back into the automatic shuffler? I recall in vegas that they would "cut" the shoe, stack the discards and then shuffle and "re-cut."

This type of shuffle was at the $5 and $10 min tables- the $25 was hand shuffled. Since this was Sunday, it was $5 per person. However, you do get coupons for your *next* visits admission. Searched for FPDW and found none; however, the high limits area had NSUD at the $5 level.
