This is gonna be Jerome Bettis last chance to get a Superbowl ring-you know it -I know it-he knows it,so he will play like a man POSSESSED--I would TOO-Bruschi-who would you rather hit coming thru the line??? James or the BUS???? You KNOW you dont want the Bus!!!!!!How bout Deuce---NOT!!!!!! The BUS will play like a man POSSESSED-Pittsburgh running game will be the factor! The Pats won't be facing the Indy defense-or should I say,the LACK of defense-how is it that Dungy was such a great DEFENSIVE player-and has no defense?? NOT his fault--no money availabile--Built Tampa Bay's Superbowl team-but got no credit-where is Tampa NOW---BITCH IS LLG and I LIVE in Tampa!!!!! How bad is dat!!!!! In Steelers tradition-You dont come into Pittsburgh as a favorite-you are NOT! But boy are you in for a major disappointment this weekend. Your offense is nothing compared to the Colts and you nearly lost to the lowly J.E.T.S. twice at home. I am hearing single digits and a foot of snow for the game. It is going to be a game of field position and probably be won by a kicker. Venateri is the BEST in the game. Brady had his worst game in 2 years against Pitt (not taking anything away from Pitts performance), but dont think lightning will strike twice. You may want to go back and check the history of success that the Bus has had against the Pats D. You are going to be in for a big surprise because he has been known as the BUST in big games against us. I know our secondary is hurting, but we know what we have and are not going to lose our biggest player in the secondary during our game against Pitt like we did last time. We actually dont have any big names in our secondary anymore (maybe Harrison). Well everyone enjoy the game and I know we Pats fans will be sitting at our computers (blury eyed myself from my indulgence in beverages during and after the game) on Monday morning trying to see how many points we will need to give up to either of the 2 crap teams from the NFC!! ENJOY ALL AND DAMN I HAVE NOT BEEN TO VEGAS IN 2 YEARS SINCE MY BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER WAS BORN. Will be staying at Mohegan Sun this weekend though (no comparison, Vegas rules)

Posts: 1161 (01/19/05 21:46:42) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Web---You are incorrect in saying the Steelers struggled with the Jets TWICE--MAYBE in the second game-Not the first---REMEMBER the Steelers had the pats down 21-3 in the first quarter-with a rookie QB--REMEMBER the Steelers had a BYE week--this was NOT GOOD for the Steelers-they were off-WAY OFF-timing was not there on offense and defense-but we STILL won the game--STILL WON THE GAME--that is the sign of a sign of a hungry team-your team is coming into a HOSTILE enviornment-and the Steelers are NOT affraid of NE-unlike the dolts-oops I mean the Colts-you wanna play smash mouth football-come to Pittsburgh-your wish will come thru! As far as Bettis-throw out the past-if it were your best shot at a ring-how would you approach this game?? HONESTLY I think the Patriots are a GREAT team-they REALLY ARE-but the Steelers have the momentum to overtake them at home-this week is the SUPERBOWL-NOT 2 weeks from now-the two best teams will play this week-the NFC stands NO chance against EITHER team from the AFC! GO STEELERS!!!!!!

Yes, the Steelers basically kicked the crap out of the Patriots earlier in the season. However, what you (and most everyone) fails to remember is that while the Pats were without basically their 2 starting cornerbacks (Ty Poole and Ty Law), they were also without their starting RB (Corey Dillon), 2 starting WRs (David Patten, Deion Branch), and probably most importantly their starting LT (Matt Light) and starting RT (Tom Ashworth). So, while the Steelers did beat the Patriots is week 8, it took 7 (count them - 7!!!) starters to be out. And, don't forget about Belichick's record against QBs he faces for the 2nd time -- 13-0. You also bring up the Jerome Bettis hunger factor. Did you forget that Corey Dillon is in the exact same situation? Sorry, but I'd take Dillon over Bettis any day, any week, any year. If you want to break it down, defenses are basically a wash, running game is basically a wash, kick and punt returns are basically a wash, the Pats have the edge in the kicking game, and the Pats have the edge in the passing game. I'm going to be very curious to see your reaction on Sunday at about 10pm EST.

The only thing I am enveying about you this weekend is that you will be in Vegas. I hope the loss of your bet and the game does not put a damper on your vacation!! I get to go to Mohegan Sun for the weekend (alone time for me and the wife FINALLY) I hear it is going to be single digits and the Rothman is not going to be wearing his gloves (bad decision). I think he might have a slight injury and they are just not going to talk about it. Reminds me of our coach. swtpup, did you happen to see the defensive plays the Pats made during the Colts game. INCREDIBLE, How about Brusci! THE MOST UNDERRATED LB IN ALL OF FOOTBALL. You make a great point about the Steelers having the bi-week before the Pats game. Sorry you only get 1 week to prepare for us this time and lets not talk about being on a roll. 30-2 sounds like a pretty good roll to me. Actually that is the best record ever over 32 games if I am not mistaken. I still think this is going to come down to the coaching staff's game plan and kicking. I am thinking 13-3 or 13-7 Pats. Honestly, Lets have a vote! Who has the better coach? Pats or Pitt? NOT EVEN CLOSE! Cowher "chin man" has lost every big game his team has played for the last 10+ years. Kicker same results! Venateri is the best in the game, Vandajerk is close but cant shut his mouth. Well enjoy the game boys & girls. And if Pitt somehow ruins my weekend I will be pulling for them against Philly as the fans in Steel City do deserve to see a Champion again. Don't think it will be this year though. Hey, if the Pats win the whole thing do you think they will ever be put on the same level as the Steelers, Cowboys and 49ers of the past. Seriously 3 out 4 years is VERY IMPRESSIVE. SEE YA!!! Say your ticket is due to win you $500 if the Steelers win, place a $500 bet (or less) on the Pats (Moneyline) so that either way you win (though not as much). If you still like the Steelers then you don't have to risk as much as the payout but go at least enough to say that you came out ahead and don't go home empty. Good luck
